Get Excited!
I know I sort of skipped right over Friday’s installment on plot, but it’s been a gorgeous weekend here and even writers have to leave the house sometimes. So, with that in mind, I’m going to warn you that this week’s posts may be sporadic. I apologize in advance and plan to buckle down and catch up next week.
When I do post this week, it’ll be on the next topic in this 11-week series…. SETTING.
When the setting of a book is done well it can act as a compelling, complete character all its own. Because this is not one of my areas of personal expertise, the entries will consist primarily of examples of setting done right, analysis of said examples, links to others’ insights on setting, some ideas about how to research settings you’ve never actually visited, ideas on how to make a setting come alive to your readers, and my own somewhat elementary musings on the topic.
With that said, I’ll now direct you over to 101 Reasons to Stop Writing where Sean Lindsay has been so gracious as to give the blogosphere a BONUS demotivator for the month!
Happy Writing, Everyone.
Thanks for the post
